Analytical psychotherapy, symbols and creativity – Online sessions or in person in Bucharest

Oana Dorneanu

I accompany you in a process of reconnecting with yourself through Jungian psychotherapy, dream work and creative forms of expression.

Where psychology meets imagination

We begin with what brings you to therapy and explore together what lies behind the difficulty.

In therapy, difficulties are not treated as defects that must be removed quickly. I see them as signals of a complex inner life: dreams, images, relationships, conflicts, the body, creativity and personal history.

Therapy room and creative materials

Psychotherapy, Jungian analysis, art therapy

Therapeutic work can begin in conversation, play, drawing or in contact with an image. Creative materials support a setting where what does not yet have enough words can begin to take form.

About me

I am Oana Dorneanu, a Jungian analytical psychotherapist and art therapist. I am an IAAP Router in the Router Training programme of the International Association for Analytical Psychology, a member of the Romanian College of Psychologists and a member of the Romanian Association for Analytical Psychology.

My training brings together analytical psychology, contemporary psychoanalytic thinking, art therapy, developmental psychology and work with adults, children and teenagers. I completed a master’s degree in Psychoanalysis, and before my clinical training I had a professional path in the corporate environment.

I co-founded the NGO EntuziArt with my colleagues. Through it, we develop projects dedicated to mental health and to people from disadvantaged communities. For me, creativity is not an ornament of therapy, but a language through which the unconscious can become visible. You can find more about the creative projects on arterapie.com.

Approach

For adults, children and teenagers

Each age has its own language. Sometimes it is conversation; sometimes it is play, drawing, the body, opposition, silence, a dream or a story.

Adults

For anxiety, depression, crises of meaning, loss, toxic relationships, life transitions, identity questions and concerns that cannot be solved through advice alone.

Ask about availability

Children and teenagers

For emotional difficulties, anxiety, adaptation to new life situations, school difficulties, parental separation, the loss of a family member, attachment and expression through play or drawing.

Request a first conversation

Dreams and active imagination

For people who want to understand dreams, recurring images, fantasy and symbolic life without mechanical interpretations.

See how we can work

Creativity can speak when words are not enough

  • drawing, painting, clay and spontaneous forms of expression
  • work with images, fairy tales, myths and personal narratives
  • exploring the body and emotions through symbol
  • a frame suitable for children, teenagers and adults

Art therapy and expression

Creativity is a language of the psyche.

For some experiences, explanations arrive too soon or too late. An image, a drawing, a story, a form made of clay or symbolic play can set in motion something that the rational mind keeps blocked.

Creative work is not about artistic performance. It is a way to give form to an experience, to look at it and to discover what kind of relationship we can build with it.

Frequent themes

What we can work with together

Anxiety as a message

Not only reducing the symptom, but understanding what it is trying to protect or communicate.

Depression, loss and transformation

Exploring emptiness, withdrawal, grief and questions about meaning.

Toxic relationships

Projections, idealization, unavailable partners and conflicts that seem to return in different forms.

Identity and transitions

Moments when life asks for a more authentic inner position.

Approach

A way of looking more closely at what is happening inside

In therapy, we begin with what repeats, weighs on you or cannot yet be named clearly. We try to understand together the meaning of symptoms, relationships, images and the way the psyche seeks a form of balance.

Jungian approach

I look for the emotional logic beneath behaviour

Instead of forcing a diagnosis or a single explanation, we explore the function of the symptom, unconscious conflict, relational patterns and what is trying to emerge in your life.

01

Symbols and images

Dreams, drawings, fantasies and spontaneous images can show what is not yet available in words.

02

The Shadow

Rejected or shamed parts of the self can become a source of energy and truth when they are met carefully.

03

The therapeutic relationship

Transference, countertransference and the way relationships repeat help us understand how the past remains alive in the present.

04

Individuation

Therapy supports becoming: not a perfect version of the self, but one that is more whole, more conscious and more true.
